  20. High-res should be more than adequate.  In fact, a standard-res image isn't 
  21. too bad with this printer since the printer's effective resolution is 
  22. diminished significantly by the dithering it must do to render the varying 
  23. shades.

  25. 1) A 550C or 560C will do noticeably better due to the additional black ink 
  26. cartridge.
  27.  
  28. 2) Paper choice is important.  You can get surprisingly good results on HP 
  29. Glossy "paper".  Actually it is a kind of glossy plastic coated sheet.  
  30. unfortunately, it costs about $1 a sheet.  The second best paper I have found 
  31. is Avery's "Brilliant" paper.  You will recognize it because it has a picture 
  32. of a goldfish on the front.  It is kind of thin, but the paper gives good 
  33. colors compared to all others I have tried.  It compares favorably with the HP 
  34. glossy paper but isn't glossy and costs about $0.16 a sheet.

  36. 3) I would use Corel Draw.  I have version 4.0 and it has some special 
  37. printing options so I assume that 5.0 has the same or better.

  39. 4) Use whatever format that Corel will import.  Probably it will import the LW 
  40. targa files directly.
